HSE web site
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) enforce
the rules and legislation formed by Government and the Health
and Safety Council (HSC). As a body they have the power to
bring to court any business or individual who is found to
be negligent or deliberately ignoring the legislation. Within
the HSE web site, these areas are of most relevance to asbestos
issues:
http://www.hse.gov.uk/asbestos
provides a link to the Home page of the HSE’s information
service on the matter of asbestos.
http://www.hse.gov.uk/campaigns/asbestos/index.htm
provides a link to the campaign pages which detail how the
HSE and its partners (PVsurveys being one) are bringing about
better understanding of the issues facing businesses around
the country.
