Sutton & East Surrey Water Plc
As a leading utility supplier covering a
large area, Sutton & East Surrey Water embarked on a program
of Type 2 & 3 surveys across 90 of their sites.
On completion of the surveys, PVsurveys
were invited to present the results to a panel of managers
and to discuss a plan for removal of the more urgent areas.
Presenting on Presumed Asbestos, PVsurveys
held an informal session on how the results and regulation
impacted the managers and what they now faced as part of the
company’s overall duty to manage the asbestos issue.
It was quickly established that the role required more time
and specialist knowledge than was available to Sutton and
East Surrey Water and PVsurveys were instructed to carry out
a complete management program, including installation of the
software, issuing and awarding a tender for removal and to
then project manage the program with all revisit and completion
surveys being uploaded to the software’s management
function.

Further to the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002 (CAWR), PVsurveys carried out asbestos surveys at all of S&ESW’s sites and subsequently provided a PC based asbestos register for use throughout the company.
They have arranged and project managed several asbestos removal contracts and they also carry out our 6 monthly/annual re-inspection visits to ensure our compliance with CAWR .
